Things to Do

Itinerary Suggestion: Museum Day

The Cleveland Museum of Art

11150 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106, USA
(216) 421-7350

Our favorite attraction in Cleveland is without question the art museum. It’s arguably the best cultural asset in the city with a world-class collection, free admission, and only a 12 min drive or Uber ride from downtown Cleveland!

Provenance Cafe

If you go to the art museum and get hungry, an easy option is the grab and go cafe located inside the museum.

Presti's Bakery

12101 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106, USA
(216) 421-3060

If you have the time and are feeling adventurous, we suggest you take a ~15 min walk over to Little Italy from the museum. Specifically we suggest Presti’s for their Italian desserts, Trattoria for pasta, or Mama Santa’s for pizza!

Downtown Day Attractions

Rising Star Coffee Roasters

412 Superior Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114, USA
(216) 600-5820
Located on the ground floor of the historic Victorian era Arcade building (pictured), you will find a boutique coffee shop called Rising Star! This should be less than a 5 min walk from both hotels :)

Cleveland Public Library

325 Superior Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114, USA
(216) 623-2800

Directly outside of Rising Star Coffee Roasters, you can walk across the street right to the Cleveland Public Library (make sure you are in the old building not the new building)! It’s worth a quick visit for its architecture and seasonal art exhibits on the first floor.

Pro tip: On Saturdays, there is public access to the special collections section located on the 3rd floor of the main (old!) building

Mabel's BBQ

Mabel's BBQ, 2050 E 4th St, Cleveland, OH 44115, USA
(216) 417-8823

For lunch, we suggest walking over to East 4th street (pictured). There, you will find several restaurant options and often a lively scene! One interesting spot is Mabel’s BBQ - the restaurant of food network star and Iron Chef, Chef Michael Symon who is originally from Cleveland!

If BBQ isn’t your favorite, we also suggest Saigon for Vietnamese and Citizen Pie for pizza. Balance Pan Asian grill (not on east 4th but close) is our favorite healthy option.

If you are coming straight from the library, you can walk back through the Arcade and you will be right across the street from East 4th street!

Heinen's Grocery Store

900 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115, USA
(216) 302-3020
There is a grocery store called Heinen’s (kind of like Cleveland’s version of Whole Foods) right next to both hotels (2 min walk). Previously a bank, it features very striking architecture, especially for a grocery store! It’s worth a visit if there’s anything you forgot at home, want to grab a snack from their prepared foods section, or to look at the ornate interior of the rotunda. On the second level there is a small, casual bar where you can grab a beer or glass of wine.

Friday Light Bites

Cordelia

Picture of Cordelia
2058 E 4th St, Cleveland, OH 44115, USA
(216) 230-2355
If you arrive in Cleveland on Friday and need a quick bite we suggest Cordelia (5 min walk). The chef was recently recognized by the James Beard association as a finalist in the region and we are big fans of his take on elevated, all-American Midwest cuisine. We love their cocktails and array of snacks. Service starts at 4pm.

Marble Room Steaks and Raw Bar

623 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114, USA
(216) 523-7000
Very cool spot for a drink and snack at the bar (3 min walk)! Worth a visit but be prepared for very little walk-in availability due to its popularity. Open from 4:30 to midnight
